The Specialist, Business Innovation, reporting to the Director, IT & Business Innovation, will observe and identify business opportunities and efficiencies within the Mazda in Canada network. Once the business opportunity is identified, the incumbent will provide a recommendation for review to the appropriate business partners and stakeholders. Solutions will be developed in conjunction with the appropriate business/vendor partners and where required assist with implementation.
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):
Identify Opportunities – Provide Solutions
  • Identify areas and/or processes of business opportunities and efficiencies for Mazda in Canada
  • Collaborate with Mazda in Canada employees to identify opportunities to improve the way we work
  • Work with responsible parties to identify the root cause and suggest solutions
Fact Finding
  • Conduct and encourage frequent formal and informal communication with the Business innovation function to ensure sharing of insights and best practices with Mazda Canada Inc & Dealer Network
Problem Solving
  • Related to the above major actions the incumbent will be responsible to design, research, develop, analyze and suggest new concepts as well as strategies
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
  • University degree in Business Management or related discipline
  • 3 - 5 years of automotive experience or related experience
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Excellent people skills; ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with a highly developed degree of professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to creatively resolve problems or identify innovative alternatives or opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals with strong business acumen
  • Highly efficient planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office applications
