Reporting to the National Manager, Distribution & Fleet Operations, the Specialist, Distribution, will primarily be responsible for the regional distribution and inside sales support for dealers within the Distribution team. The position will have responsibility to work with dealers across Canada on matters relating to the efficient distribution and wholesaling of Mazda products.
 
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
  • First point of contact for all inbound call and online dealer, rail, compound, and port vehicle distribution inquiries
  • Responsible for monitoring call centre efficiency and KPI and participating in improvement activities.
  • Troubleshoot regional vehicle distribution inquiries
  • Support Month-end vehicle inquiry for regions
  • Develop and publish Product Mix reports
  • Responsible for managing the supplemental allocation process to fill inventory gaps throughout the dealer network
  • Responsible for managing damaged & vandalized vehicles assignment and disposal process
  • Responsible for all phases of yard inventory and control including off-railing, credits, trades, transfers, priority vehicle loads, vehicle load planning, etc. to ensure consistent vehicle flow-thru
  • Support monthly Regional Allocation and ongoing unassigned vehicle processing requirements
  • Support audit requests as required
  • Create inventory health reports and analytics
  • Cross train in other vehicle distribution functions as required (for development and coverage)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a business administration, automotive management, or supply-chain management related fields
  • Bilingual (English/French) verbal and written communication skills is a must
  • 2 years’ relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Customer service focus for internal stakeholders and dealers
  • High-degree of self-initiative for troubleshooting issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively cope with change and ambiguity, shifting gears comfortably
  • Ability to decide and act without having the total picture
  • Distribution or an automotive distribution environment would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of MCI and dealers is an asset
