The successful candidate for this role will support MCI Finance objectives by maintaining vehicle and warranty accounting by performing journal entries and reconciliations on a monthly basis. Additionally, this person will assist with actual vs. forecast analysis as part of MCI monthly forecast process and assist with reporting of actuals/mix/forecast to MC to support MCI forecasting and reporting process. This role will support finance transformation projects.
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):
Support month-end close reporting/analysis for fixed marketing, related party and other fixed cost accounts
Manage forecast/budget in collaboration with department managers for areas as assigned
Maintenance of actuals and forecast reporting to head office (MC) via Hyperion
Respond to ad-hoc financial tasks within finance and accounting area
Act as key support for external and internal audit related activities
Prepare Consolidation schedules for quarterly reporting to head office (MC)
University Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting field, automotive related experience is an asset
A completed recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) is preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP
Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting principles and the ability to develop and maintain financial models
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Ability to work independently with demonstrated problem solving skills
A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with financial and non-financial individuals of all levels
Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is an asset
Self-motivated, easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment
