Specialist, Retail Marketing

The Specialist, Retail Marketing located in the Richmond Hill office will be on a hybrid work arrangement. The Specialist, Retail Marketing will support the retail network through assisting with marketing programs provided to stimulate demand, grow their online competitiveness, and showcase our vehicles both online and offline within their showrooms. This includes supporting retailers with new vehicle launches, National retail advertising campaigns as well as the digital dealer program dealership initiatives (POS and Brochures).

Working with various vendors, the Specialist, Retail Marketing will be expected to manage marketing programs in their entirety; from the project brief and setting program objectives, through the creative development and deployment, to a complete program analysis. 

Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):
RETAIL MARKETING CAMPAIGN SUPPORT (Tier 2)
  • Support the development and evaluation of retail event advertising campaigns nationally: Including digital, website, radio, CRM elements (on-demand), supplier letters, newsprint and TV creative, etc.
  • Work with the Incentives team to confirm current offer details for agency partners
  • Working closely with agency to ensure the key messages in all retail materials are fully integrated, brand and legally compliant and delivered on time.
  • Responsible for communication of campaigns nationally including liaising with teams internally (departments, Regions) and managing the collaboration with agency team to develop materials for monthly “internal marketing” of communication (mazdamonthly.ca, creative summary, Mazda Digital Library postings, etc).

DEALER DIGITAL ECO-SYSTEM PROGRAM (Tier 3)
  • Support the Tier 3 marketing strategy and coordination of potential multiple vendors.
  • Manage the vendor relationships and monthly target setting.
  • Review monthly reporting and provide regular updates on dealer engagement of the program and reporting information.
  • Manage the mystery shop program through ongoing brief development, creation of objectives, ensuring quality execution through the supplier and subsequent delivery of results to the field and other internal stakeholders.

IN-DEALERSHIP ADVERTISING SUPPORT (Tier 4)
MAZDA TV
  • Manage content plans for Mazda TV through identifying available content available internally and globally that aligns with in-market national advertising priorities and ensuring deployment of content.
  • Working with the vendor partner, facilitate orders for showroom use.
  • Monitor Mazda TV usage and help to resolve any issues with connectivity.

MAZDA BRAND COLLATERAL (BROCHURES & DEALER POS)
  • Manage annual strategic planning and process for the development of Mazda brochures and POS materials; establish print strategies by nameplate, determine brochure model page counts, brochure consumption, etc.
  • Evaluation of all dealer POS materials.
  • Manage the vehicle brochure process from the creative brief right through development to in-dealership delivery including working with Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), agency partners and internal Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) stakeholders.
  • Manage the ongoing communication of collateral assets to network (timing, errors, ordering issues, etc.).

MONTHLY BUDGET RECONCILIATION
  • Manage daily estimate and Media Purchase Authorization process with our agency partners, working within the DOA guidelines.

RETAIL MARKETING SUPPORT (Tier 3)
GUIDELINES & ASSET MANAGEMENT
  • Responsible as point person for Asset Management Systems and asset sharing; both BYNDER (Global assets) and Data Asset Manager (BYNDER site)
  • Responsible for managing updates of advertising guidelines and informing network of updates.

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
 
  • Post-Secondary education, preferably in Business, Marketing or another related discipline
  • Minimum (1-3) years of business experience
  • Excellent attention to detail, integrated business understanding an asset
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience managing vendor relationships
  • Solid forecast/planning and analytical skills
  • Project Management skills and experience with multiple/conflicting, immovable deadlines
  • Strong organization and administration skills
  • Diversified self-starter
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset
  • Highly motivated
  • Team player
