Manager, Retail Marketing - 14 Month Contract

The Manager, Retail Marketing will be responsible for Mazda Canada’s retail marketing activity with a focus on Mazda Canada’s retail campaigns, National Dealer Advertising Association programs, new vehicle launches, and in dealership initiatives. The Manager, Retail Marketing will report to the Director, Marketing who will be a key member of the marketing team and will be responsible to work closely with our regions, Dealer Advertising Associations, and agency partners. Further, the Manager, Retail Marketing will be responsible to supervise the content and tools required to support local dealer Marketing activities and provide resources and tools for regional field staff to communicate National marketing initiatives. 
 
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):
 
Together with Retail Partners, the Marketing Management team, and other internal stakeholders, define the:
 
  • Go-to-market strategy including messaging & media plans
  • Go-to-Market strategy for Production of assets for the buying phase of the journey by optimizing the communication with our regions and dealer network 
 
Manage the planning, development, and communication of:
  • Advertising campaigns nationally for retailer event and Dealer Advertising Association that support the evolution of the elevated look and feel of Tier 2 retail communications to align with our 7th generation brand
  • The regional landing page content and destination strategy in conjunction with Digital Innovation team
  • Tier 1 & Tier 3 quarterly mystery shop program with vendors and successful delivery of results to executives, regions, and retail partners
  • Monthly budgets of Shopping Journey for Dealer Advertising Association & Collateral Production
Responsible for:
 
  • The oversight of Data Asset Management System and asset sharing
  • Managing the updates of Mazda Canada 7th generation visual identity guidelines, advertising guidelines and informing network of changes and monthly tracking
  • Strengthening the Brand Image by defining and executing the Brand at Retail strategy, providing the dealer network with Marketing and Sales supporting assets for their showrooms
  • Leading annual strategic planning and process for the development of Mazda brochures and Point of Sale correspondence
  • Leading the analysis and tracking of advertising campaigns and digital performance
  • Supporting the internal marketing of Mazda Canada's overall marketing effort by managing the monthly field staff and network communication of marketing initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Work collaboratively with:
  • The internal marketing team to manage the planning, scheduling and coordination of monthly and quarterly Marketing Action Team discussions and agenda items
  • The Network Development team with the rollout of the 7th generation in dealership creative elements, art displays, brand panels and coordination of vendors involved
  • All Mazda Canada departments such as Legal, Incentives, Regions and Retail Partners
 
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
 
  • Post-Secondary education, preferably in Business, Marketing, or another related discipline
  • Minimum five (5) years of business experience preferably in Retail Automotive, Automotive Manufacturer or Agency
  • Integrated business acumen and advertising experience is an asset
  • A diversified self-starter with the ability to implement a variety of projects while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Solid forecasting planning and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Office, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and a team player
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset
