Manager, Remarketing & CPO

The Manager, Remarketing & Certified Pre-Owned will play a key role in supporting Mazda’s key business pillars – Dealer health, brand value management, retention, and customer experience.  This position is responsible for the overall strategic development and deployment of programs related to Vehicle Remarketing and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) operations.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage MCI’s Vehicle Remarketing operations to support customer experience, retention, and residual value improvement
  • Key Vehicle Remarketing responsibilities include:
  • Work with key strategic partners (BNS & CDLSI) to manage off-lease vehicle return process
  • Manage Mazda Auction Direct, vehicle groundings, vehicle inspections, off-lease inventory, and auction performance (online & physical)
  • Manage lease end customer communications
  • Oversee loyalty and retention growth opportunities by launching several key Dealer initiatives (TCM Payments and Dealer Loyalty Training)
  • Support Mazda Engagement Program with development and tracking of remarketing KPIs (residual value purchase and loyalty)
  • Manage and continue to evolve MCI’s Certified Pre-Owned Program (CPO) to support Dealer throughput and profitability improvement
  • Key CPO responsibilities includes:
  • Develop sales targets and track performance
  • Manage and deploy dealer and customer incentives as needed
  • Increase dealer engagement and participation in the CPO program by developing and deploying Regional/Dealer training programs
  • Manage CPO Budget
  • Work with Advertising agency to manage and deploy fixed marketing initiatives
  • Work with key suppliers to manage CPO dealer inventory and reporting
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
  • Post-secondary degree in a business administration, marketing, or a related discipline
  • 4-6 years of automotive or related experience
  • Experience with Field and Dealer operations
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of budget, forecasting and financial statements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to lead project teams and supervise individuals
  • Ability to influence others and build effective business relationships
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and dealers
